Frequently Asked Questions

Below is some helpful information to get you started on your health and fitness journey. We have made a list of common questions we have received to help put you at ease before signing up. We of course are always ready and willing to talk if you have any questions we have not covered here.

What is included in my first session?

Your first session includes your consultation, postural/movement assessments and your first customized/ workout (based on your assessments, goals, medical/ injury history and individual fitness level). Your first meeting with us is almost like two sessions in one so it lasts a bit longer, about 1 hr 15 min to 1 hr 30 min. You will need to eat a small meal or snack with carbohydrates and protein about an hour before your workout!

Are you able to rehabilitate my injury/injuries? Is “corrective exercise” rehab?

Corrective exercise is NOT rehab. As “Corrective Exercise Specialists,” we correct alignment, posture and movement. Doing so BEFORE progressing to more intense forms of training will minimize your risk of injury!

Aside from our team physical therapist, Chris Parks, the trainers on our team are NOT physical therapists and we NOT qualified to rehab your injuries. As trainers who specialize in "Corrective Exercise” we can do “pre-hab" or “injury prevention, as well as post-rehab. If you have an injury that is affecting you, we ARE qualified to work around it and still help you get in shape SAFELY without aggravating your current injury/injuries and minimizing your risk for new ones.

The stigma with working with personal trainers is that “YOU WILL GET HURT.” We specialize in ensuring the opposite! We want to get you to your goal as safely as possible without aggravating any pre-existing injuries or causing new ones!

How often does a client typically work with their trainer?

The typical client works out 2-3x times per week with their trainer. Some clients train as many as 5x per week and some as little as 1x per week. If you don’t see your trainer as often, you will have to do more work on your own. If your budget only allows you to see us 1x per week, we will still give you advice on what to do on your own!

Do you offer any package deals/ discounts?

Student discount: $5 off per session (requires valid Student ID)

Photo release discount: $5 off per session

You qualify for the "photo release" discount if you allow us to track your progress for our social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, etc...). Just because you sign our photo release form, this does not mean we will post away without asking you. We will STILL ask for verbal permission before we post anything and you can say "No." We will honor that! =)

Couples/ Buddy Discount and Package Deals: Specials vary depending on the season. Contact us for details!

How long do sessions typically last?

After we teach you how to do your warm up (after the first few sessions), you are expected to arrive 15 minutes early and be warmed up by your appointment time. That way, you will not be paying to warm up and stretch with your trainer and you'll have more time for the actual workout! Workouts average 1 hour!
